The Drive BIA
We meet regularly with the Commercial Drive BIA (Business Improvement Area), and have staff members and volunteers who meet with the Safety and Security Committee to exchange information regarding problem premises of both businesses and residents, problem people, and other police related issues.
The BIA is also assisting us in our volunteer recruiting efforts. We participate in joint projects such a Community Clean-up Day and Anti-Graffiti initiatives, as well as addressing the issues of homelessness and business safety. Our recent project together was working on “Movie Nights in the Park” throughout the month of August, 2008.
